Specialization
I've sold real estate for over 14 years. My primary focus has been on the representation of clients purchasing or selling new or existing homes and income property on the northwest side of Chicago (as well as Bucktown, Wicker Park, Lincoln Park), Carol Stream, Naperville, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Bloomingdale, Roselle and Itasca. I have also sold extensively in the northwest, west and southwestern suburbs. I'm very familiar and comfortable in these areas as I've lived here for let's just say "quite a number of years".
I consider myself a consultant rather than a salesperson because my primary purpose, in addition to helping my clients find their new home or sell their current one, is to advise and counsel them on the market and the process, and to handle every detail from the beginning until the keys change hands.
Personal
I was born and raised in Chicago. After growing up in the city, I moved to Dupage County in 1983 and have lived here ever since. As a kid, I really liked growing up in the city. I was often able to take advantage of all that it had to offer. After I had my own children, I moved to the suburbs for more space. That was an excellent decision for us. Now we have the room that the suburbs offer along with the suburban entertainment and culture, as well as the benefits of all that Chicago has to offer. My favorite time spent is with my family and friends. My passion is travel. And I love a great football game on a Sunday afternon.
Since 2001, I have been an elected school board member of the Benjamin District 25 School Board. I am currently school board vice president.
In addition, I have been serving on my Real Estate Board's Professional Standards Committee since 2000. In 2008, I was appointed chairperson of the Professional Standards Committee of the West South Suburban Real Estate Board. Professional Standards is the integrity "watchdog" of real estate and presides over ethics complaint hearings as well as arbitration hearings. | |
